Americana was their down fall, first album they went to MTV with.

ixnay was their last good album.

I just got some old classics, Gone away was there best song in my opinion, then the next year they came out with this Americana bullshit....I'm hurtin'....and they still put shit out.....makes me cry..

I saw them play life last week...i dont like them. Concert was ok tho just not my kinda music.
Most of the audience was 16 yr old skate kids.

their new shit is to make extra money of all the kids getting into punk at the moment with bands like Sum 41 and Blink 182 cleaning up the cash.

Their last good album was SMASH .
And it was the worst of the ones before .

All the new ones suck , other than a good tune here and there .

was that the tour with the horrorpops also?

I never saw anything special about them. They were never really punk punk. Their old stuff I guess was possibly considered suburban punk rock (when they played w/ Pennywise, etc.)

I've got every album since their self titled...

Yeah, some albums were better than others, but I've been a fan through good and bad.

Americana had a lot of the the feeling of Smash IMO.... Not exactly the same but right up there for sure.

Funny, I liked it.

IMO I think it was their last good album.
A lot of their older stuff is much better, Ignition, Smash, Self titled album.

Their new album sucks.
But I went to see them back on the 9th. Good shit.

They have a single currently playing on the radio... can't remember the name though...

still havent heard the new album. smash was the first cd i owned.

The only REAL punk is The Sex Pistols and The Ramones. Green Day is good too, but no one can touch the Sex Pistols. :2 cents:

Yeah Americana was the end of them. So many bands get fucked up with MTV. Im not saying its MTVs fault but the whole commercialization makes it all about money and the music, which is what the band really are, gets left behind. Same story with Metallica and that St.Angus shit.

they made very good music

amen, metallica's descent started in 1992 though, st angus is just the end of their jorney from the top to the bottom :2 cents:
