I'll get min. 8 hours a day at $20 an hour but because it's a feature we'll get shit loads of overtime and perks so it won't be uncommon to have a 400 or 500 day. But i won't sleep much for 6 weeks.
I don't care!

Actra, CAEA and SAG.

i see people at check cashing places getting bounced SAG checks, know all about the pay ;)

check it.

are you principal or extra?

since no voice it takes away from being prinicipal.

im not knocking your gig man, just saying usually non voice roles dont get paid well. On the contrary, I know girls who have done VOICE OVERS and gotten more than acting!

uniion or not.

Ive seen people BOUNCE SAG CHECKS here in CALI, everyone is an actor where I live, the valley is full of SAG CARD HOLDERs they literally fill the art district right up the road, you can drive by and there are literally hundreds of actors practicing lines.

we make fun of them.

;)

mpulse 03-25-2004 10:53 AM

That's cool...try throwing in some adlib lines and who knows, they might keep them!

Odie 03-25-2004 10:54 AM

hey Head! my b/f is going to be Russell Crowe's personal trainer while he's here!:)

Odie 03-25-2004 10:56 AM

here in Canada it's usually the Actra union that takes care of us, regardless of whether it's voice or not, non-voice parts still get paid $20/hr :2 cents:

Right.

As I said, non speaking roles dont pay as much.

You say 20 an hour, here it is A LOT LESS, extras get 40$ a DAY ;)

too many actors here, i dont think people who dont live here understand how Hollywood works. its like a fucking bootcamp for actors, they are everywhere here.

And as I mentionedm, I know girls who have done voice overs and gotten excess of 400$ for 2 hours.

So voice equals WAY MORE MONEY, especially if on camera ;)

Pete 03-25-2004 11:04 AM

Isnt Russel Crow gay?

I've been doing this business for 15 years. And it's up and down. For sure you need to get some other work going; like adult. I 've been lucky lately since i've joined the 'unions' i've never been fucked on a cheque not yet anyways.
I go for my waredrobe fitting today

sorry, that's not what I meant, when we go to do voice overs that's different, payment is based on the contract,

I guess I need to clarify, what I was saying, is that we are paid $20 per hour regardless when we're on set. As for speaking roles it depends on the film company.

I know what it's like in Hollywood, it sucks if u'r an actor..
