GFY Public Service Announcment (pics)
If you think you have come across breaking news that everyone will want to hear about, and belive you are the first person to know about it. You are wrong, five other people have allready posted about it in the last five minutes.
In the rare event that you might come across something that is major news and there is nothing on the main fourm about it.. It's because it happened yesterday, everyone allready knows, the drama is already over and everyone has retured to their seats. I know it's a hard thing to do but maybe before you post your "late" breaking news, just maybe a simple search can be done. A simple search can avoid you the embarrassment of being called a "stupid noob" or "moron". A simple search will also avoid other fellow GFY members posting one of the many "You are here in this timeline" pics ( Exhibit A ) , or worse yet the all famous "Your A Homo" pics ( Exhibit B ) in your topics. This has been a public service reminder to use the GFY search option, located in the uper right hand side of your browser. Thank you have a nice day and..... Go Fuck Yourself :) |

Electroshock Therapy Makes a Comeback Thursday, April 15, 2004 LOS ANGELES ? More patients are turning to electroshock therapy again for the treatment of depression (search) and other mental illnesses when medications and traditional psychotherapy have failed them. With the advent of drugs like Prozac, electroconvulsive therapy (search), or ECT, saw a decline beginning in the 1960s. But thanks to advances that have made it more humane and less risky, the treatment has made a significant comeback in recent years. About 100,000 patients in the U.S. undergo ECT for depression and other psychiatric illnesses each year. Critics of the convulsion-inducing therapy argue that it?s unclear exactly how the electric currents affect the brain and worry about the probability that patients will suffer from amnesia (search). Proponents say the memory loss is temporary and the risks of living with untreatable depression or other mental problems are far greater than those of shock therapy.
