Hey, webhamsters living in Amsterdam - read this
 

I have this huge problem, i need to get work done but as long as im sitting at home alone i do everything but work...for the last 4 years now. i make a good living and stuff but i want to be *cough* rich like Pimpledog. Which is quite easy, as long as i can work for more than 2 hours a day.

I have 2 options:

1: Hire someone who stands behind me all day and kicks my ass when im reading gfy again.

2: Rent an office. This simply will put me to work. I want to wake up and go my office, work there and go back home in the afternoon. And i prefer to do this with someone else because i noticed when i hired someone for a few days a while back that i work way better when someone else around me is also working.

So i was wondering if i could find like 2 persons and rent a decent sized office here in the center. I figured for a 1000 euros we could get something decent sized with a nice adsl connection. thats only 330 a person.

Im not looking to partner up with someone directly or anything, just sharing an office space.

I just stopped renting an office, since I didn't need it anymore. It was office with an entrance and a studio. I payed 1700 Euros a month, it now functiones as a callcenter I use for small things. But I'm always interested in ways to make money, but I just dont think its that easy to start something like epictrash

How much would the office costs to rent?

I know you didn't say that but since you want to be rich like pimpledog I mentioned epictrash as an example. If you want to rent an office where you can work with three people, you need a big one. And if you want it to be in Amsterdam, and not in the ghetto part, I dont think you will find one for 1000 Euros. I am looking for a new one, and I can only find offices for around 1500 Euros

Those old buildings are great! I love the view there, I have an appointment tomorrow to look at some of the places there. But I haven't found anything nice for under 1600

My old place on the Prinsengracht was very, very nice. 150 square meters, 3 levels but i paid 1800 euros.

Yes and for 1500 euros you have something huge! The office located underneath my old house was cheaper than that and had enough room for like 8 people.

Nice theory but it probably won't work hehe. Maybe the first months this office things will be new, but then you get used to it and you dont bother going anymore.

I must be looking at the wrong places, my old office cost me 1700 euros and there is no way tat you couldfit 8 working people in there. But then again I had a bed and shit in there.
