Yes, loads kinda slow.

The Truth Hurts 03-25-2004 02:07 AM

loads fast here, but what the fuck would you expect with 209 unique images on the page?

Unique images: 209
Total images: 277
Total bytes: 722519

Image loading will take about:
469.55 seconds @ 14.4
234.77 seconds @ 28.8
120.86 seconds @ 56K

add another 82k for html..

- Jesus Christ - 03-25-2004 02:09 AM

Why do you have the image text in the box before it loads?
I think this looks really bad. Otherwise a nice site.

BEcasue to my 3MBit cabel there is zero packetloss but it still takes a long time for the images to load... its not a fast constant flow liek it should be.... IT like jerks and slows jerks and slows wich leads me to believe its a HTTPD setup problem.... are you running the latest version?

THe only other thign I can think of off hand would be Apache log files. You might not have them set to rotate out fest enough and it could be filling up your drive. WIth so many images on a TGP page your probably generating a very large log file.

michel 03-25-2004 02:48 AM

No:)

in wich file is that setting?

apache is in /usr/local/apache

- Jesus Christ - 03-25-2004 02:56 AM

assumeing your running red hat or somthing similar.
the log im reffering to is usually located.
/var/log/httpd/access_log

to change the logfile rotation settings you can edit the file
/etc/logrotate.conf

The file is fairly self-explanitory.

# see "man logrotate" for details
# rotate log files daily
daily

# keep 3 days worth of backlogs
rotate 3
