Was AMp really fired by Lensman!?

:eek7

Over fighting with Aaron and starting couple of "Lesson #" threads...?!? Someting similar to what he often does... before and after being hired by adult.com...

When banning his ass from the board would have been so simple... Where's the loyalty? ... Seems more like the perfect excuse to fire someone you dont want anymore... which I guess can be understandable and legitimate... :2 cents:

quiet 03-25-2004 12:15 AM

maybe he just quit :2 cents:

broke 03-25-2004 12:16 AM

Either way -- the whole thing is utterly ridiculous.

he mention the word " being fired" a couple of time yesterday... and never mention quiting on JBM... If you quit... you say it... it looks much better than being fired... :2 cents:

i have not idea, just that it's a possiblity.

I somehow doubt it was simply his lesson threads and his "fight" with Aaron.

It's not like Amp's behavior has been limited to one night of his entire life.

Anyway... us discussing it won't change anything. It's Lensman's call, he made it.

How long will it be before we talk about something else?

Yeah right, I'm just getting kinda tired of all the drama myself.

Plus, I can't believe that people assume that it's one single thing that could caused his being fired.

Lemme ask you (and this is purely hypothetical since I don't know for sure), if an employee displays eratic behavior... even behavior that could warrant being fired but you don't fire him simply because it is eratic, and you are hoping that he'll straighten himself out.

Then time goes by, and it happens again. Again, you let it go, because he was making progress. So time goes by, and it happens again. Now you're getting upset and put your foot down and give him a stern warning.

Time goes by, another incident. Now what? Let it go again?

Perhaps the incident wasn't hugely Earth shattering, but it was just one in a long list of them with no end in sight. Do you keep the employee on or let him go?

Again, don't go attacking me saying I think I know so much or what ever.... I'm just saying that this is my personal take on it. I don't think Amp did anything hugely over what he normally does... but I do know that Lens has told him to tone it down on more than one occassion. So perhaps this was just the preverbial "final straw"??

hyper 03-25-2004 12:37 AM

sorry but i really dont care what happened. life rolls on brother

All nice... but read my first post... it would have been so easy to ban his ass from the start...no more board for Amp..!! SIMPLE!!!

Thats why I say there's drama here... either he was fired uniquely because of his eratic behavior on the board... which would be ridiculous on so many levels..

The other possibility is Lens was unsatisfied with his job and that was the perfect excuse to fire his ass....

Nah, Amp was REALLY down and out when Lensman hired him. I mean, in a bad way.... Amp was on the board and seriously sounding suicidal. And I'm serious. I'm sure most people remember that were there. He didn't sound good at all.

It's entirely possible that Lensman had thoughts of firing Amp a long time ago, but simply didn't out of compassion for the situation he was in, and out of fear that doing so may send him back to that same situation again.

I'm just saying possible. Again, I don't really know, just playing devil's advocate. I just don't think it's quite so cut and dry as you say.

There's not always some grand drama conspiracy theory behind the scenes story that simply must come to light.

Enough already.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled life.

Dildozer 03-25-2004 01:24 AM

If Amp was fired, it's very likely it wasn't only for his behaviour on the board. Then they would've made a story to say Amp banned himself by accident or some silly shit.

There has to be something more, MaskedMan said it well.
