In the process of ordering airline and hotel tickets, they have this little box which is prechecked for you: Expedia Vacation Cancellation Penalty Waiver - The Expedia Vacation Cancellation Penalty Waiver protects your vacation from cancellation penalties. $49.00 per Traveler x 3 = $147.

After my order i notice the fee. So i email them back immediately stating how i thought it was unfair how they prechecked the small box for me and how i didnt want it.

And they reply with:
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. First off, the Expedia cancellation waiver is not compulsory. You still have an option, at the time of purchase, to uncheck it. Unfortunately, as per rules and restrictions, attractions and services are non-refundable.
