Stephen King, Stewart O'Nan Working on Red Sox Book
This could be a very scary read! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
By The Associated Press NEW YORK - Horror writers Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan are collaborating on a book about a sometimes frightening mutual passion: the Boston Red Sox, who haven't won a World Series since 1918. The two authors will attend Red Sox games throughout the year, diaries in hand. Their notes will be compiled and then published in a hardcover edition, by Scribner, at the end of the year. "I just got back from spring training, and the guys are ready. I'm ready. Everyone's ready," O'Nan said in a recent statement. "This is the year. It's do-or-die time." King, winner last fall of an honorary National Book Award, has written horror classics such as "The Shining," "The Stand" and "Carrie." O'Nan's works include "A Prayer for the Dying" and "The Night Country." |
