Boy brings crack rocks for show and tell

Police say a four-year-old boy in Indianapolis took crack rocks worth $10,000 to school for show and tell on Monday.

The pre-schooler packed the drugs into his book bag to take them to his Head Start class.

When teachers realized what the substance was they called authorities. Police then went to the boy's home looking for his parents, but they weren't home.

Officers did arrest at least one of the boy's relatives who believe is also involved with drugs.

Police say the boy didn't exactly know what he had brought to school. Sgt. Roger Tuchek with the Indianapolis Police Department said, "He took it out and was showing other students this particular substance and was describing it as flour."

Authorities have issued warrants to arrest the boy's parents. The boy and his older sister are in child protective custody.
