What was the first thing you did online that made cash?
 

Well I'll start off. I was in high school and I was into the whole photoshop scene. I had a site that got about 2000 uniques a day with origional tutorials and stuff like that.

There was a company called themestream that would host articles you wrote and pay $0.10 every time someone looked at them. I put up about 20 tutorials as themestream pages. At 2,000 uniques a day that was making decent money for a high school sophmore who spent all day photoshopping and stealing KeWL aol accounts.

an adultcheck site WAY back in the day.

set up a shitty site and announced we had a naughty celeb tape, the signups started rolling in then I got sued for 90mil

$.03 a click with some program I don't recall any more

I spammed a pay-per-click program in newsgroups when newsgroup still made buttloads of traffic. That was back in the day when they encouraged people to spam everywhere.

First thing that made me money online was Xdrive.com, I signed up as an affiliate. They were giving away $1/ free signup. I figured it was pretty boring work so I paid a friend to sign up with 50 different emails a day. Good times.. hehe :thumbsup

I was employed by a Venture Capital firm. Accordingly, NONE of the projects we did made money. I did start an academic site in 1996, that company has made money ever since. As for BIG MONEY (relatively speaking), it has to be adult.:thumbsup

Selling stuff on eBay way back when, I was like 16, you didn't need a credit card to join eBay, they had just started, you could sign up with a hotmail account, it was awesome. Those were the days.
