The last 60 minutes told a shit load about Bush, 9/11, etc.. They for sure knew something major was going to happen but he wouldn't listen. Once it did happen he wanted to invade Iraq from the start but they could not find any terrorist links with Iraq, yet invaded anyway.

He was the one who was President for 8 years up to 9 months prior to 911... If you think that when a new President takes office, his acts will have any effect before 1 year then you are a complete moron... At government level, any action has to be planned, and planning takes time... So Shut The Fuck Up and stop insulting your friend's memory :321GFY :feels-hot |
It seems being anti-Bush is the new in thing, it used to be anti-microsoft does anyone have any tips about integrating "anti bush" slogans and blaming Bush from everything from the disappearance of jimmy hoffer to the bad packaging of frozen peas?
I only just got my T-shirt with Bill Gates and 666 tattoo'd on his head, and would like to fit back in with the cool crowd. thanks. |

seeing as the 9/11 commision is still in progress with their investigation I don't think it's a good idea to jump on partial snippets of information.
It's pretty obvious the author of "against all enemies" has his own agenda, even if it's just selling books. personally I would rather wait for ironclad facts to come to light rather than just jumping on the anti-bush train. however this is just my opinion, and I do not belittle yours, just stating it's easy to get caught up in the hype! |

He is also selling his book based on the "facts" he is proporting.
I would be a lot more receptive to what he had to say if he wasn't cashing in on it at the same time? If his book had came out long before his testimony at the 9/11 commission I might even listen to it, his book release just seems nicely timed with all the media spotlight. |

I agree in some aspects of that, however our enemy has learnt from our past mistakes, the terrorist cells are organized much like our "need to know information" It was said that some of the hijackers on September 11th had no idea the plan was to use the planes as weapons, they thought it was a normal hijack if that is the case, and even terrorist cell members do not know the whole plan it would be hard to imagine that they "leaked" a whole lot of information elsewhere.
It seemed we focused to hard on technological means of gathering intelligence, and got rid of our assets of "man on the ground" and informers, the enemy however uses low-tech means to achieve their goals and to relay information, some of their messages were carried through afghanistan by couriers, intercept that with a wire-tap! :) |
Fuck Bush:glugglug

let me expand on that a little - Rick Rescorla, he was the vice president of security for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, he was also a vietnam veteran, and survivor of LZ X-Ray (which is the battle "we were soldiers" is based around, his image is featured in the book cover too!) in his wife's book "Heart of a Soldier" it mentions before the bombing of the world trade center , Rick had pointed out the underground parking garage was an attack vector - and he was proven right! even after this he warned about the possible attack on the towers with conventional explosives or biowarefare agents in small planes and was ignored.
He however is probably the reason that the company did not lose many employee's in the wtc, he had set many firm evacuation policies in place, and on september 11th he told everyone to ignore the port authorities request to stay in place after the first tower was struck and told everyone to leave, he unfortunately perished in the collapse of the towers, the last time anyone saw him he was looking for stragglers in the towers. Even Tom Clancy thought of an attack using a 747 as a weapon, but I guess a lot of people thought it unimaginable. I guess we all underestimated how far the terrorists would go to humble America, and the world, I have to believe if anyone knew what would happen they would stop it. maybe I am just naive? |

For a country that has dropped nuclear bombs on cities, you'd think they'd be able to 'imagine' a terrorist flying a plane into a building.

Yeah, it's old news. Stop making accusations like that, I know you're just frustrated about the 9/11 thing, but aren't we all?
