when a TV program breaks for commercials - the volume goes waaaayyy loud.

they get away with this because while the decibels are the same - the sound is more compressed and sounds much louder

im sure they do it coz they know ppl walk out of the room during ads.

It's the same in holland..
it sucks big time
they want to do something about it now.

There is nothing better when you are trying to be quiet and the damm sound jumps 10 notches.

It's done so that you pay more attention to them, which in itself is a pain in the fucking ass.
