Did you feel retarded going on vacation by yourself or did it work out better that way?

I want to go away but no one else wants to go away or can take the time off to do it. So I'm thinking of just saying fuck it and going somewhere by myself. But I dont want to be on vacation all sad because Im by myself.

Take some whores with you, or pick some up when you get wherever it is you are going.

i only travel alone these days... it's definitely a LOT of fun - depending on your personality. i'm a total extrovert and i tend to meet people everywhere i go... so the last vacation i took to england and greece i had a total blast traveling alone.

the main things to remember are:

1) if you're going somewhere that you can't speak and read the native language, it's going to be a challenge

2) traveling alone means you can do what you want, when you want to

3) traveling alone means you can get laid as often as you please

I went on a cruise at xmas time solo and it was a blast. Do what you want without having to plan with others preferences.

It's the best thing for you as a person!! If u are open minded u might actually surprise yourself!! U learn alot about yourself when u'r away.:thumbsup

I'll be doing europe alone once the wife finishes her optometry schooling.

Really looking forward to it, although, if she changes her mind and wants to come, i'll be equally as happy.

no. never have. sounds like alot of fun though. I'd probably end up lonely and on the phone calling home most of the trip though..hehe, plus my wife would be pissed if I left her behind.

I went three or four times and i had a great time. Lots of people do. Better to go with someone though.

I don't think I could go on vacation alone. I would get bored and then I would probably end up in trouble. :-) I am sure you can find a cutie down at the local strip club to go with you if you pay for her way.

I have traveled to Thailand, Bali, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Nether Antilles cruise and across the US all as solo trips and it was an amazing experience.

If you are outgoing, personable, have street smarts and are comfortable with solitude here and there.... then go for it.

You will meet many other solo travelers, more so than if you were with someone.

Don't wait on anyone else, life too short, go now!

Having a vacation all by yourself sucks.

I walked through 5 different european countries by myself...I don't like dealings with other peoples hangups...

I used to think it was good until I travelled with Kitty all over Australia and to the U.S. and it was better than I could have imagined!!! :thumbsup

Depends on where I am traveling, on a beach vacation I always go with friends. When I am going on a real traveling vacation, I rather go alone. I want to see things, do things, meet people and thats better to do alone

I have. Sometimes it sucks, but if you're outgoing you'll meet people and have a good time. Don't not go on vacation just because you can't find someone else willing to go with you. Get out and meet people man. :thumbsup
