I hate Trees!

Or actually tree pollen.

even with zyrtec my allergies are driving me insane.

MattO 03-22-2004 01:57 PM

You're allergic to pollen but not your cats? I'm the opposite.

CyberTraffic 03-22-2004 01:58 PM

I love trees.

I want an oak planted on my grave when I die.

I had the first asthma or allergy attack of my life last night. I'd been doing alot of yard work.

I laid down to go to bed and my lungs felt like they were full of fluid...I had a heavy weight on my chest and I couldn't breathe. My whole face and left arm went numb.

Kinda scared me...its noever happened before, and I have no known allergies. So either I'm developing them or I had a heart attack at 27.

Basic_man 03-22-2004 02:02 PM

Not cool at all ! :(

jhauser 03-22-2004 02:05 PM

I have allergies to a couple of trees when they are blooming. I have a few fruit trees and thankfully no allergies ~

LexiLexxx 03-22-2004 02:06 PM

Do you have a Vaporizor in your house???
If not you should, I have allergies and it
really helps me ALOT!! My allergies have
to do with the air pressure and it really
sucks, along with dust and all that other
stuff! I really hope you try this, if you haven't
already!! I think it would help you alot!!!

:thumbsup

if it werent for trees you mofos would not be here right now

KRL 03-22-2004 02:08 PM

I love trees, but yeh I don't like the allergens they disperse either. Been sneezing too.

Napolean 03-22-2004 02:10 PM

its really nasty if you think about it.. that tree pollen is how trees reproduce.. or have sex..

and were all stuck in the crossfire of this tree-jizzfest..

thats one way to think of it anyways.. not really that bad but still weird when you think about it.

I have several humidifiers. After a couple of miserable days I got the largest one (meant for 2400 sq feet) and a small one going in my bedroom. Brought the humidty to about 60% so that at least I didn't wake up with a raw throat. It's supposed to rain on Wednesday which will help some.

MarcyM25 03-22-2004 02:14 PM

Ugh I feel them coming...Allegra is what I take, seems to work well.

Babagirls 03-22-2004 02:16 PM

Clairtan didnt even work for me....

Go to Walgreens (if theres one by you) and get

Wal-Phed
Cold & Allergy
(green and white box)

its $6.

You have to take a pill every 4 hours, but its better than anything else i ever tried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:2 cents:

PersianKitty 03-22-2004 02:21 PM

I tried Allegra and Claritin a few years back. Zyrtec was the one that made the most difference. It seems this year the tree pollen around here is worse than normal. My dad swears by chlortrimetron which is over the counter, but it didn't stop the symptoms just dried my throat up really bad.

alecb 03-22-2004 02:30 PM

i hate trees, especially the ones that got in the way of my two totalled cars path :P

Peaches 03-22-2004 02:36 PM

Here in GA, spring hasn't offically started until you can write your name in the yellow pine pollen on your car. :)

I don't mind it except that it gets into the screen porch.

If it isn't allergy I would say it was a panic attack. Panic attacks are characterized by coldness and pressure in the chest, as well as imagined difficulty with breathing. Allergy makes sense though. You should tell your doctor.

MT_Butterfly 03-22-2004 02:43 PM

The cottonwoods are the killer tree's for me. I have several around my home and with all that cotton blowing around...the only thing that'll help my allergies is a MedrolPack. I'm feeling for ya...this time a year is a bitch for those with allergies.

No allergies, no seeds, no stress.

:thumbsup

radical 03-22-2004 03:44 PM

hehehe I'm the same!! I take sneezing fits in the summer :(

slackologist 03-22-2004 03:49 PM

damn, i wonder if the human race is devolving, i'm sure we would have been tough enough to resist attacks by trees at some point in our evolution :-)

I get the same, usually only in spring though... maybe once every 2yrs. warm shower and humidifier with some eucalyptus or similar seems to help me if it's bad.

Axeman 03-22-2004 03:52 PM

Everyday my truck is covered in the yellow shit. Pain in the ass. Good thing I am not allergic

doc cock 03-22-2004 03:53 PM

that yellow shit is totally annoying... i agree

trees = oxygen though, which i DO enjoy quite a bit

you had a heart attack !

I know what I am talking about I've had plenty of heart attacks and a 4 way bypass.

you better see a doctor TODAY !

Peaches 03-22-2004 04:13 PM

Remember, usually if you can SEE the pollen, that's NOT what is getting into your nose. It's the tiny particles you can't see that are causing problems. :(

The center that gives Atlanta the information needs to change its chart. 500 or something is the highest it goes in terms of severity and we've had 4K+ days before, lol!

Alex Xe 03-22-2004 04:14 PM

I do not have any allergies, and i am lucky :)
