Neither simulated rape nor simulated violence seem particularly wholesome to me, but the former protested as sick and the later is frequently used to entertain kids.

I wasn't going to say anything, though since this case directly affects the quality of GFY - you really should screen and help your advertisers maximize the spots they buy. For example, Extreme Paychecks banners - "$50 FRIDAYS IN FEBRUARY" - Well, it's well into March now. I've seen other instances this as well. I'm assuming that GFY racking in $60k a month would call for some sort of quality check and control.

If an advertiser is paying for a spot and we tell them their ad is outdated we are not going to pull their ad cause they do nothing about it. We can only do so much as long as the legit advertiser is paying their bill.

Well it'd be in your best interest and theirs to have them update it. Do you want your advertisers banners to convert best as possible for them? If no.. then okay that's just stupid, but intelligently your answer would be yes, you want them to get the best ROI so forcing them to update the banner can only be beneficial.
