They will allow .xxx and .adult at one point or another, but I don't think there will be a law not to have adult content on .com because of that.
For example, adult content in different jurisdiction is different then in others. what acceptable here in the U.S and considered to be mainstream does not equal to what mainstream is in the middle east or in China.

If they tried to force all adult content into any domain, there would be years of court battles before anything happened, and even then, the U.S. Government would lose because they can't control anyone but U.S. based companies.

definitely good names but if you are buying these for the typeins it would be a big mistake imo. shepherd obviously has a good list of contacts you DON'T want to bid against these people.

You can find equivalent domains much cheaper if you're preapred to do the research, negotiate a better price and not have a bunch of people with deep pockets at the ready to outbid u.
Just look at pool.com as an example for why you don't want to enter into auctions for domains :)

3-5 year valuation for a hands-off business (redirect to a psonsor, no effort) is far from unrealistic.
With minimal work a buyer can get their money back in less then a year.

Just spoke to another friend. We will be adding few more good names soon. Some mainstream, some adult.

.com is a U.S. controlled extension. It would be pretty easy for the U.S. to enforce this policy. Now if the U.S. tried to enforce their policies on .co.uk or .ru that wouldn't fly, sure.

those domains are really good, i doubt you will bet what you are asking for them though, overpriced IMO.
