Uberman's sleep schedule

Saw this posted in another thread, who's heard/tried it?

I'm going to try it this week and see how it goes, so far been awake for 24 hours and I feel fine...

I'll see if I can last 2-3 days, and then take a break with a 6 hour night of sleep and go another 2-3 days...

I tried it for 2 days, so I was up for about 48 hours straight, then I couldn't take it anymore and I needed the sleep, so I gave in.

I didn't do it right though, I stayed up about 8-12 hours (can't remember) before I had my first nap.

But, the naps did work, and I was starting to get used to them. The last one I took, before I stopped was unbelievable. I had the most vivid dream ever, probably lucid dreaming...half way through the dream, I realized it was a dream, but it felt so real.

The dreams were pretty bad too, so I said to myself, ok this is enough, I'm waking up. And after about 20-30 seconds I was awake...20 seconds before I set my alarm to go off too. So I napped for exactly 19 mins and 40 seconds, which shows I was becoming conditioned to go straight to REM sleep every time I took a nap.

I wouldn't advise going on this, unless you have a vacation or something. From what I've read, the first week or so is absolute hell. I was extremly tired, but the naps did help, but after about 2-3 hours I was dying for my next nap. Also, I ate more, but never seemed to get full. So make sure you have lots of nutritious food, fruits and veggies, and vitamins.

There's a milder variation of it which works better for me. You get 4 hours of sleep each night, and a nap every 4-6 hours, can't remember which one. There's a Yahoo Group I joined that has lots of info and people on the schedule.

Good luck :thumbsup

That's how I am sometimes too, but this is a great sleeping schedule, especially for people with sleeping problems.
