Goodbye Mustang Cobra, Hello Explorer (Press Release)
March 21, (Chico, CA) - Donovan Phillips announced the end of ownership of his Mustang Cobra. Earlier this week, Phillips traded the Cobra for a new Ford Explorer XLT with the third seat option.
Phillips admits that some of the kids who post on GFY and live at home with momma will consider this to be a step down, while the more mature posters of GFY will see the practicality the Explorer offers. Phillips says that a lack of comfort when driving his fat ass around led to the decision to get rid of the Cobra. "With it's 4 wheel independent suspension, the Explorer offers a much higher degree of comfort than the Cobra. It also provides a safe vehicle for transportation of my 'treasure' - a 1999 male child that I love more than anything," Phillips said. No comments were available from Phillips' other vehicles, which will have to share garage space with the larger Explorer. |

What Donnie boy here failed to mention is that the Mustang Cobra doesn't be long to him, it belongs to his lovely girlfriend Belinda.......
Here's a picture of the two of them.... http://www.rochardsbunnyranch.com/pi...as2004-009.jpg |

Cruise the highway listenin' to XM radio with my little lady.... doesn't get much better. |
Yep... Rochard tells the truth. DP has been owned. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
The new Explorer is hers too. She was tired of my fat ass complaining about the comfort level in her Cobra. |
You should have done what I did...... Last December I bought both a new Mustang Mach 1 (rare car) AND a new Ford Explorer.

We thought about keeping both. But we took the Cobra on a long road trip last weekend and were both so sore and had headaches. The suspension is so stiff in sports cars that it jostles the brain. We both were tired, sore, and had huge headaches while driving by a Ford dealer. We looked at each other and said, "Let's trade this piece of shit in for something comfortable." Don't get me wrong, the Cobra really isn't a piece of shit. We were just tired and grumpy at the moment. It's actually really fun to drive that thing in the Northern Cal mountains. But we have no regrets about getting rid of it. |
