Which is best???

Pool
snapnames
godaddy?

I would back order on pool, but does that put the domain on a list so ppl see that I'm interested???

Pool is the best.
Then NameWinner.
Then SnapNames.

GoDaddy is utterly useless.

When I add a name on pool, does it show up to other folks to start bidding or what?

I sort of disagree with this one, it depends on who the registar is for the domain.

If i see a good domain and it is registered on godaddy i will definately use their services. so far it has 100% effective (3/3)
they don't seem to work well when the domain is somewhere else.

Best approach go to the register that the domain is at, see if they have a domain drop services. signup up for that.
Only if they don't go to pool.com
