This is why you should always carry a camera.

I missed the perfect OWNED pic yesterday.

Teenage guy with a nice red 68 Camero had trashed his car by broadsiding some chick. The cop was in the background writing a ticket...The abulance was loading the chick on a stretcher, and the dude was laying his head on the top of his car and crying.

And where was my camera? At home on the fucking charger. :(

kush 03-20-2004 02:13 PM

poor guy

nathan_f 03-20-2004 02:14 PM

get a camera phone.

StuartD 03-20-2004 02:15 PM

some kids shouldn't be driving, much less driving a nice car.

Just stupid.

Spunky 03-20-2004 02:16 PM

Another classic car destroyed..I had a 69 rs/ss with a 302 zapper until I totalled it also...brings a tear to my eye:(

just because someone gets in a wreck that's their fault means it's just stupid?

Yup.

There's so many teenage kids getting the most expensive cars they can find now just to be cool, despite the fact that they don't really know how to drive them.

If that's not stupid, I don't know what is.

When I was a teenager my parents never bought me a car, but had they purchased me a nice one I am pretty sure I would have shown it off and driven fast with it [that's just the nature of high school males]. I'm a safe driver and have never been in a wreck of any sorts, but anytime you have a nice ride and you drive faster your odds of wrecking go up.

Blame the parents, like Aaron said.
Kids will always be kids.

Manowar 03-20-2004 02:25 PM

I would hate to be feeling as bad as that guy

Oh I do blame the parents as well, but the kid is still stupid.

Yeah, I remember back in Hiigh School, my friend drove one of the biggest beaters in school. Some rich girl in a brand new 325i T-boned him in the parking lot -- said "her brakes must have gone out". I remember hearing that the insurance company got really mad at her parents for buying her such a nice vehicle as a first car, and Im guessing they dropped her after that.

If people actually grow up driving P.O.S.'s then they'll actually respect a nice car when they earn it, instead of just having it handed to them on a silver platter.

Oh - so he was crying because of the car - and not because he hit a person?

What a jerk.

Kids would be more concerned about the car...

myjah 03-20-2004 05:03 PM

lol - my hubby takes his camera everywhere. wont leave home without it cause you just never know

Ross 03-20-2004 05:05 PM

Now that would have been a classic pic. Shame you don't think like a content provider and opportunist and take your camera everywhere. :winkwink:

grumpy 03-20-2004 06:30 PM

It's perfect for what I picked it up for but I am not about to start producing content with it.

Yeah, I've missed out on some great pictures too. I always tell myself that I should always carry a camera or a video camera, but I never do. Probably should start.
