My car death dream is haunting me again.

I've posted it a few times before. But, I have this recurring nightmare where I am crushed horribly in a car crash. The images are so powerful that I see them all the time even as I'm awake. Sometimes at red lights I just see it happen in slow motion. I see my own death.

I have the strangest feeling that I will one day die in a viloent car crash. It's not that I don't see myself getting old, but the images are just to strong to ignore. In fact I wonder if that's why I have bouts of insomnia. I wonder if it's so I won't fall asleep and have that dream again.

I had a car crash dream last night in fact. I dreamt that we all drove off a cliff in Italy. And we fell several hundred feet to the water below.

My girlfriend crashed our car big time 1 month ago and ever since I've had the same kind of dream. It's plain horrible to wake up with that kind of dream in your memory.

Imagine this, I have dreams about winning the lottery for like 5/6 years now, but it never happened. :winkwink:

Seriously, I think your dreams can be caused by several factors, like watching tv, emotional stress, witnessed a car crash in real life or whatever.

Don't believe in signs man, its fucking crap.

Perhaps a dream interpreter could help you? usually dreams like that have a differ meaning than whats happening in the dream.

Come on, surely you guys know how this thing works.

1. A dream involving a horrible painful death probably means that you will become a world-famous billionaire within the next 2 years, and live happily ever after.

2. A dream involving a huge lottery win probably means that you will die a horrible, exceedingly gruesome death.

I don't watch too much TV. But one thing I never thought about until just right now as you said that..

Wow,, it kinda makes sense to... I forgot about it until right now.

In my hometown where I grew up, there is this highway that goes to my house that has no traffic lights for like 6 miles. It's 2 lanes the whole way, (one coming, and one going) Well it's also a feeder highway to some major farms. So we'd get big rigs zoom by all the time.

When I was about 13 or 14... a father in a yellow truck very similar to the one I have now in fact, had 3 children in his truck. A kid about my age, a kid about 8 or 9 and an infant.

The guy had slowed down to turn left from the highway into one of the few streets that led from the highway into some neighborhoods. Well a big rig loaded with oranges and a partially drunk truck driver failed to see that the guy had stopped to turn left and flew up on him really fast.

Sure enough, the yellow truck was demolished. Me and my family were all outside and we ran to the street to see what happened. It sounded like a plane crash. Metal was twisting and turning and it happened so fast and we reacted so fast that we all looked in time to see the tail end of the crash.

By the time we got to the street a man was already pulling the kids out of the wreck. There was oranges everywhere. The truck was destroyed by the cab was still in one piece. The 13 year old had obviosly hit the windshield as we could barely make out his face. It was swolen and had blood all over it, and he was in total shock and was only walking around from the adrenalyn.

The 8 year old was much more coherent and didn't have hardly any blood on him at all. My guess is that little kids tend to bounce around some and absorb more of the wreck. The infant was still in his car seat and didn't have a scratch on him.

The father. The father on the other hand was completly mutilated and lying half under his own truck. He was laid out, arms open like (for lack of a better description) Jesus. He was on his back and the truck was cruching him at his abdomen. He face was purple and a puddle of blood was gurgling out of his mouth. He was still alive and breathing. Within a few minutes he was dead. We all watched him die under the truck and there was nothing anyone could do.
I can see him lying there and dying. I remember looking at his sons and watchnig the drunken truck driver staggering around the scene. He didn't even look like he was aware that it was him that caused it.

The father just groaned and died. Right there in front of my house practically. And now I'm a father. I hope I just found my connection to these dreams. Making that connection is the first step in overcoming this nighmare.

Fuck, I remember it like it was yesterday. :(

true, dreams are not always literal in meaning sometimes they are symbolic and need proper interpretation.

That's a crazy fucking story.

Seems to be as good an explaination as any, though.

Kicker 03-20-2004 08:42 AM

Sad story:(

Platinumpimp 03-20-2004 09:56 AM

guess I was right...you witnessed an accident and forgot about it, but your unconciousness didn't.
