The original was played on the radio in 1938. You could have aired a program saying that we were being overran by midgets with superpowers from Mexico and people would have freaked out! Radio was all they had so they believed 100% of it as actual and factual. :2 cents:

I saw the movie and listened to the re-broadcast of it on Coast to Coast AM a couple years ago, I wasn't impressed with either. Speilberg is a great producer but he has his hands full on this one.
