Who here has been travelling?
 

Thinking of taking 6 months out and going travelling, seeing the world and partying like never before. Australia, Asia and America are top of the list. Anyone done anything similar? Was it as good as people make out?

Asia is fantastic, you can just spend 6 months traveling there, America is cool and I dont know much about Australia because it was 4 years since I have been there............

i have not. however i have 3-4 months planned next year in europe, and 2-3 in australia this fall. possibly longer.

We travel all summer every summer, but still have to work several hours every day from laptop.

That sucks because most of the time the connection is total shit.

australia is a great choice!

Go for it ChrisE, best way to do it is to get a round the world ticket you go one way around the world not coming back on yourself.

Best company to talk to is "Trailfinders" in London, they are pretty sharp with the "round the worlds" decide where you want to to, as you mentioned Asia, America etc, I would also take in parts of South America. Thjey have cool routings.

check out central/south america... costa rica, belize etc.... nicest people in the world and very cool culture. Cuba is very nice as well.

Id love to do the 6 months thing.... it is the type of thing that if you don't do it you'll regret it terribly when you're older. Only young once and if it's feasible why not?
