Too many irons in the fire make your biz suffer?

I have found over the last 6 months to focus most of my attention on one aspect of my business..and at this point it has been gallery design...and I think most here would agree that during that period of time I have made a name for myself here.
I look back over my life history and find that I have had so many killer ideas but lacked the focus to follow through on at least 1.

I look at this industry and I think this is a problem here too.

Look at Quiet for example. I won't pretend to know exactly what's all in his portfolio but for sometime he seemed to focus only on his main site and look how well he's done with that.

And then you have others who are building galleries...avs..hahahahahahaing up their own affiliate programs...delivering for meals on wheels etc..and doing it all by themselves...and I don't know what their chances of success are.

No this is not about putting your eggs all into one basket, but there is something to be said for focus.

Most def... I have been focusing entirely on one thing lately (SEs) and it is definitely paying off.

I have that same problem. It's frustrating sometimes.

Yes focus helps, I remember doing freesites, avs, tgp, design on the side all at once and my head was always spinning with 'incredible ideas' that ate my resources, $ and nerves, since I decided to focus on design only (with the help of AdultCheck fucking all of us) I am much more focused and things are going a hell lot better this year than all 5 in adult combined.

Why do you think we are still concentrating on the content market?

But this year we will be moving onto another part of the business, paysites.

I make the most $$$ when I do a bit of everything.... when I focus on one thing it's not as good, still OK but I feel when my eggs are divided into a lot of baskets it does better for me personally.

Yeah, lately I have been letting a few late night inspired domains die and things picked up for my main site; theory works, for me anyway:glugglug
