these are crab spiders... (according to my gardener) and they're all over the place here right now. There's probly 30 more of these right around the general location of this one. They're fast builders too. I knocked down 3 or 4 big webs one night around 5pm, and by the next morning they were all built back up.

er, I don't actually have a photo but that's not a particularly big spiderweb. Big ones outside my window.

spiderwebs are very cool, their fibres are super strong, and the entire structure is in tension
