Paysite Checklist

I want to try a go at my first paysite. Have done a fetish TGP, galleries, etc... The basics. I have a niche concept, a domain and can raise some money to get it going. Other than design and content which I will create, all original. What are the things I need to do?

List them all. Bill processor, Hosting, etc......

Appreciate the help.

Bill through two processors and a dialer/900 option. Make sure you have Euro-billing options (hagan //at// 2000charge.com is a good reference). Checks, I would say ignore. You may make 20% more but you'll spend it all on advil and liquor once you see the return rates, unless you get a solid solution in which case you still spend money on those two waiting for signups that are valid to happen...

Webmaster/affiliate program software, best not to stick with one processor's solution but create your own (x3scripts is decent for this)

Negotiate hosting with a host who has references, check their responsiveness via ICQ/phone/etc. (Recommended : xxxwebhost.nl)

If you're not good with UNIX/Linux, find someone who is (you can ICQ me 92621238 if you need info) for at least a bullshit detector and more a consultant to get your stuff running smoothly. Setting up payment processors can be a bit interesting.

Set up your members' area using PHP/SQL so you can make sitewide design changes with just a few files and not hundreds of HTML files (I can help with this too)

Site translation into at least two or three languages (http://www.adultpornbiz.com/ is who we used, great service)

Plaster USC 2257 notices like banner ads on a TGP from 1999

Go with one or two live feeds matching your service. One boosts your retention, beyond that it's a crapshoot since often live/voyeur feeds go downhill after a few months (vs.com has good stuff)

Subtle upsells to sex stores, video stores, etc., in a shopping section

Boost your content base with either plugins (iffy) or bought content (Ounique is a good source). You don't want someone to run through the entire site's content in 24 hours.

My :2 cents:
