Rumsfeld stated pre-9/11 that he had plans on "reinventing" the military for the modern age. Anyone got links on how those plans are panning out. Makes sense given the changed world we live in.

I'm surprised this hasn't been used in a ad campaign against the Bush admin. Doesn't look like Rumsfield cared about the Iraqis suffering under that the horrible dictatorial regime at that time. Wonder why he changed his position 360 degrees since then becoming a liberator and voice for democracy.

It boggles the mind that some people still dont' see the hyprocrisy and blatant lies coming from the mouths of people like Rumsfield in the administration. It's partly because our culture has a short term memory - Rumsfield and the Whitehouse was sleeping with Saddam when it suited them.
