Hey after watching how good "Minority Report" was, we have a lot to look forward to. Unless he pulls another "AI."

AI is underrated. Yes, it should have ended when the boy was at the bottom of the ocean instead of that strange 'aliens help boy bond with his mom for the last time' ending, but I dug it.

It's rare that you can say a Spielberg movie was bad...

I thought the ending was good. Interesting idea to see the robots trying to discover their creator and where they came from....sort of like what mankind is trying to do. :2 cents:

I didn't have a problem with the ending either, Aza. My problem with AI, even though i semi-liked it, is that Spielberg, in homage to Kubrick, was trying to direct like Kubrick. It was obvious, and it was tinny. Not to mention the story plodded to a halt at times.

If you are talking bad Spielberg movies, start talking "The Lost World." "Jurassic Park" was great, and "The Lost World" stunk. Don't you remember Malcom's daughter on the pseudo-parallel bars when she was being attacked? That was one of the lamest scenes you'll ever see.

Hook was also pretty mediocre, and Amistad was over the top and preachy. But over-all, I think he'll do a great job on "War of the Worlds."

Spielberg rocks and most anything he touches turns to gold, but I don't know that this project needs to be rehashed to the big screen for another generation..
