Can you leave the state on Probation?

Can a person on Probation leave the state he was convicted in?
I don't mean on vacation, I mean for good. Can the person get a transfer or something?

talk to your PO, if your not a repeat offender, and you have any type of relationship they will let you leave for a short while. if they arent totally gay. if you are talking about long term, im sure you can tell them that you are moving, and they can work it out.

dont go to GFY with questions only your PO can answer. it depends solely on your case, and the state laws, and the terms of you probabtion. we cant answer for you.

but then again, it seems like you just wanted to let everyone know you got in a fight, not asking a real question.

Well, you see, I havn't been convicted yet, so I don't have a PO... I'm going to FLA in August if everything goes well... im going to school there..

I just wanted to know what the general answer would be to that before I get my hopes up too high =[.

bcooter 03-16-2004 01:26 AM

well duhhhhhhhhhhhhh,

dont get convicted. go to florida now instead of august. change your name , and get reconstructive surgery.

I don't think so. Just be careful and made sure that you get back in time for your next meeting with your officer.
