DVDs are so expensive
 

They sell for like $25-30 (canadian). VHS tapes cost more to produce than DVDs and they are even cheaper. You know if they sold DVDs for $10 then there would be alot less piracy

no $25 canadian is like $19 USD. The canadian dollar was always less than the US

a lot less profit too. im sure they know how much to sell them for to maximize your profit.

adult sites would probably eliminate 99% of piracy if they lowered payouts to $1 per month.... but it just doesnt seem like the profitable thing to do.

anyway cds are cheaper to make than tapes and they are still more expensive... they charge the prices they charge because they can get away with it

I know where you're coming from though, DVD's are hella expensive, I've cut back on buying new ones so my collection's sitting around 500. :glugglug
