Went to the eye doctor today, having surgery on Thursday
 

I had an eye exam today...my eyes are still dilated so I'm have trouble reading right now.

There was a cancellation this week, so instead of waiting a month to get my Lasik eye surgery, I'm having it done on Thursday. I'm not supposed to stare at the computer screen for a couple days, so I won't be around.

I'm a little nervous, but the success rate for laser eye surgery is very high and I'm getting it done at a good place, not one of those places in the mall. Heh.

What all does lasik cover? just bad vision?

I wish you good luck ... I don't think you need it because if you take a good place (expensive), there shouldn't be any problem.

You should get it at the mall. It would be cheaper and you could buy something at The Gap as long as you were there.

I'm having custom lasik instead of lasik, and they are supposed to improve my night vision in addition to correcting my near sightedness. It's more expensive but my night vision sucks already, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

Hmm...right now they are saying $5600 for custom lasik. I have the feeling that doesn't include taxes and a few other things they'll tack on when I actually see the bill.

I wouldn't worry. This is a fairly common proceedure. I'd wish you luck but i'm sure you won't need it.
