Can I Use Logoed Clothing
in a photo shoot?
I am really looking for a case law or statute reference here. Not just who has the bigger pockets. Say the t-shirt the model wears has a Playboy rabbit logo. And I am talking about using the product in the manner it was designed to be used. Not about having the model masturbate with a Barbie doll.... LOL |
I'm not sure, but I've noticed that on TV reality shows, they often blur the logo...don't know if it's because they don't want to give the company free advertising or because they don't have the rights to use the logo.

Same thing in music videos, but I'm not 100% on the motivation behind it.

Question is unless you were looking for trouble, why would you use someone elses logo if you had any qualms about it? I sure wouldn't have any Playboy logos around a porn shoot whether she's wearing it or stuffing it up her coochie. :2 cents:

I had a dude email me once begging for a girl in an Izod shirt getting fucked. He said that was the only thing he could get off to. Go figure. :glugglug

I'm still waiting on that pic set.... The baby batter is really starting to get backlogged. Yah, I think yoru golden to use products as they were ment to be. No licensing needs.. You only see blurs when there si something offensive written, or the case of the cheep mtv wanting endorsement checks. |

Yep they don't show the logos because they don't want to give free advertising to stuff or enable the people who would be wearing the clothing to make deals and or endorse stuff.
