TGP gallery advice

Is it better to link the "Join Now" button directly to the payment processor or to link it to the splash page of the site the gallery is for? And why? Thanks.

I try not to use "join now" buttons in galleries.

My philosophy is that the only thing that is going to get the user to click on anything is the content. If the surfer doesn't have some kind of connection with the content then you've lost him.

My buttons usually say 'Click here to download my movies' .. or 'Click here to see more pictures of me' etc. The text, buttons, links etc. should all be as if the content is speaking to the surfer. This is easier when it's a single model .. but you can be creative and figure it out when it's a reality series, hardcore or lesbian etc. as well.

With that said .. I never link to the join page. I link the surfer to the tour. It's not our job to sell the surfer.. just refer him. I don't think you'll have too much luck sending them directly to a page asking for their credit card info.

By the time the surfer has said to himself "I think I'm in love with this chick .. I gotta see more" he needs to a) be reassured that he's not gonna be ripped off and b) he needs to know that by paying he's going to get more of that content .. and not something else. As good as your gallery may be .. it can't do those things .. the paysite tour is there to fill that gap.

Check out realitychecknetwork.com. Contact them directly and they'll probably give you a better price than what is qouted on their site. :2 cents:

Good Thread!

SABAI 03-14-2004 08:55 PM

made galleries with two links once .
one link to the spash and one to the signup page , got hundreds of signups from the splash and 0 from the signup page ( was not same refcode so i could verify)

so just forget the signup page.

SABAI 03-14-2004 08:57 PM

forgot to say that both link got approximately the same amount of clicks on a one month period

Use descriptive text links on the gallery, better chance of the SEs picking up the gal. Don't use text like Join or the price for the membership, get the surfer to click your link and let the paysite sell.
