Al Qaeda
As the UK was the biggest supporter of the USA then Spain, we could be the next target for Al Qaeda.
The question will be, will they be after deaths or destruction. The difference between Spain and the UK is that we have a large Muslim community spread all over. as such it may be less likely that a bomb will be placed on a train as if Muslims get killed in the UK it could change Muslim attitudes to a negative. Only a few do support Al Qaeda but its Likely that one or two Muslims in the UK will be helping to finance Al Qaeda. The IRA did not place its attracts in Irish areas of the UK. Leeds for instance has a huge Irish population, and Leeds saw very few attacts. I suspect if the UK gets atact it will be the PowerStation's. If 3 PowerStation's or destroyed it would create vast problems. |
Its also very clear that the last war on terrists did not work. If anything its made support for the terrist increase.
Having Blair go on TV with others saying how disgusted they are is not going to stop the attracts. I fear we will see many more worldwide. |
Al-Qaeda wont mind if some muslims are killed: they will be in their heaven with the virgins....
I thought that GW Bush said : " Now the world is a safer place"... Probably I didn't hear well... fucking age! |
If it has to happen, it will happen ... Your governement made wrong decisions and one day they will pay for it. Supporting USA is one thing . Fighting a war with bullshit facts only to get oil is another thing
|
Lets just hope it will never happen
|
Ok...
Now you can make a big list.... 1)UK 2)Italy 3)... .... LOL |

No - I'm not trying to be a smartass - just making an observation. ... I've been thinking about terrorism all day. It can hit UK, Germany, Holland, Scandinavia, Italy, etc. Those Arabian fuckers have no limits. None whatsoever. They don't go for powerstations - they want to kill as many as possible in one blow. Scary. :( |

it will be on the tube in London. It will scared the most people that way and kill the most. Just think about the King's Cross fire.
Want my guess? Stations like Goodge Street are the perfect tartget. It is on Tottenham court road, will paralize the Northern Line but most importantly there are no escaltors. The only way out are through those elevators or the long spiral stairway. Used to go into there everyday to work and always was aware that it would be good terrorist target. Ah, the days when the IRA was the threat. oh, and they won't care who dies. |

look what happened in iraq, they attacked a muslim religious festival, they attacked muslims in morroco and even muslims in saudi arabia, Al-Qaeda don't give a shit about killing muslims...
going to war against iraq did not increase the threat of terrorism, as far as Al-Qaeda are concerned the UK was already the no1 enemy after the US some people keep saying the same shit that the US/UK blah blah only went to war to get oil... yes an additional oil supply would be an advantage but they don't just take it out of the ground, every barrel of oil taken from iraq will be PAID FOR - just as any other oil producing country. |

Didn't happen ... now the US/UK are hostile occupying troops killing Iraqui civilians and getting killed by nationalists... Bad intelligence, played by Chaladi and decided by a moron. :2 cents: |
The next big attack by Al-Qaida has way bigger chances to be on the US Soil than UK..
|
Lte's just pray that things will get better soon.

Otherwise, be ready for terrorists attacks on a weekly basis.... justlike in Iraq with another 6 soldiers killed today ( six greeving wifes .. and parents and kids...) ... and for what???? to releive the balls of BUSH... |
Hmm....

I don't think it logically flows necessarily that the UK will be a target... remember, the UK has a very strong intelligence infrastructure.

Lets not forget that you could have every phone, fax, internet connection bugged, but you still have to have someone sift through that information and find actionable intelligence. The NSA had advance warning on the 9/11 attacks, problem was that it wasn't translated until 9/12. Now getting back to the topic at hand, will the U.K suffer next as a target of Al Qaeda or related splinter cells? maybe? Currently they are going after less guarded, softer targets with a greater chance of mass casualties as was the case in Turkey, and now in Spain. The UK has years of anti-terrorism knowledge which came from dealing with the IRA etc etc! Yep we do have a good anti-terrorism infrastructure in place, but in a way it's a more fanatical and more determined terrorist we're delaing with today, I guess if they really wanted to they in a way could!!
I read in a paper yesterday, since 9/11 - terrorist now view their goals on the amount of destruction they can cause!! It saddens me why people would want to cause injury and death to innocents |
