Why would GFY admin ban my IP address?

That's what I get using my own IP address? Last night it was working OK and now it would not let me in w/out using proxy?

this is a shot in the dark...banned for fucking up..you remember what you did

They block whole isps... Here in belgium you can't get on gfy if you're with Telenet (the biggest broadbandprovider) without using a proxy.

Hmmm I am wondering about this too...I have never had a problem getting in, but a designer that does freelance work for us cannot get in with his IP. I can't imagine he has been banned because he hadn't ever visited the site before. So I am wondering too what the deal is?

Phil 03-14-2004 03:42 PM

No, but I would like to apply... no seriously - why?

I had exactly the same problem. I just joined a week ago..
never been here before....and my IP was already banned.

Some days I can get on and some days I cannot. While it's
extremely frustrating (especially if you've entered a contest
or are awaiting business responses lol ) it's understandable
with the volume they must deal with on a daily basis....

Yea I think PMdave is right, they probably blocked your ip submask. Maybe because of others who were on your submask were causing problems.

It's got to be that
