Yeh, it's ok, but not something you'd crave on a daily basis.

I had some 15 years ago. Don't remember much about it.
I remember bad yogurt, and people would eat hard boiled eggs that weren't totally cooked. So if you can picture this, the egg was propped up, and they would tap the shell with a spoon until it broke, and scoop out the inside and eat it. Hummus is good...that's mixed up chick peas. Seasoned right, it's good. Other then that, I can't remember much else. |

Israeli food shares many similarities with other middle eastern and greek food.. falls under the catagory of Mediterranean food. Lots of vegetables, olives, grilled chicken and beef with various garlic and other sauces, hummus is a common side with bread (typically pita) for dipping. It's good stuff and very healthy. |

Israeli couscous is one of my favorite foods in the world! Looks like a larger version of traditional Middle Eastern couscous (i.e. each little piece is larger) - delicious! The Isreali food I have eaten is similar to MiddleEastern/Mediterranean food - curried spices, lots of seasoning, very rich flavor. Tasty in my experience.
