Anti-Hotlinking Media Files.... Try to Hotlink this..
This has been a thorn in a lot of peoples sides for a while...
Can you help test this..... Please try and hot link the blow job video!! If you try to access the file via hot link..... One of two things should happen...... 1) If your trying via a browser, you should get a text message... 2) If your trying via Windows Media you should see a little boy/elephant video (kinda funny) - just for demo - would show a short ad vid in production. http://64.69.89.155/test/index.cfm If you can let me know... If you can't let me know..lol |
first one i get a text message
in player i get an class error ClassFactory cannot supply requested class. |
I get both the text error and the elephant video.
|
Looks like a video from fuckherthroat. Something about force feeding cocks.

After a quick search in google for your error "ClassFactory cannot supply requested class" seems that something is wrong with your COM server, can you see other wmv files ok? |

Yes the little boy video is to be displayed if the system detects a hotlink... and yes, I used the words stolen on my page but more like borrowed..... no reason to get pissy about it, I am trying to figure out a good way to stop media file hotlinking for everyone... I don't have or use media files, its just something someone asked for some help on... |
I shoulda known better than to bring an actual industry topic here....
Sorry, It won't happen again.... Lens WTF? |

Again, don't take my harsh language the wrong way, pussy. That's just how I talk. If you weren't such a little bitch you wouldn't be so bothered by it. It's just how I was raised, dick! All I said that was mean was that you posted a film of a guying getting killed by an elephant. and I don't like snuff films. |

and if you think I'm like "every fucking moron on GFY" your very mistaken... the guy does not get killed he just smacks him.....unless your seeing something Im not? |
Until now the only solution has been to rename directories.. this has proven to very buggy and hard to deal with. I am looking for a different solution....
I know of some people this is costing thousands a month.. CJ is one of them, they water mark their stuff and call it advertising... |
gees louise. I'm kidding.
And no I didn't see the whole thing I just saw a kid and an elephant and once I saw the CJ watermark, I just assumed it'd be a snuff film. If you are serious about the hotlinking thing go to microsoft's site they have some BAD ASS anti hotlink type shit there, it some how ONLY let's members download your shit. It's hardcore. go to ms and look around. |

I would never post a snuff film! I kinda thought it was funny... Protecting media files in a members area is easy... it the exsposed one that are hard cause there is no REF URL sent by the players.... there is basically no info to help in the GET request. Here is a sample GET request from Windows Media Player... GET /justblow.asx HTTP/1.1 Accept: */* User-Agent: Windows-Media-Player/9.00.00.3075 Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate Host: 64.69.89.155:8080 Connection: Keep-Alive It does not tell you anything...... .htaccess also relies on REF URL to protect stuff as well.... No problem for browsers.... but a major pain for the media players.. Hence the problem... When I worked for Lens..... we delt with the same thing... I wrote an NT servce..... that.... 1) at set intervals, stops the required services 2) renames the directory 3) updates the databsae that script pages call for directory name 4) restart the services But proved to to be buggy and unreliable.... Windows does not like to give up its locks on files all the time. Seems that a lot of other people have taken the same approach and have found the same thing... Im trying something here that take a completly different approach... just try to see if its crackable.... I could not hotlink it... but Im not privy to all manner of hotlinking....:thumbsup |
To better understand, look at the CJ model....
All movies are completly accessable to any with out any kind of membership.... With the players not send a REF URL they have no way of knowing that the video is really being called from their site. This means that you could basically create your own site, hot link all their movies, and have them pay for bandwidth.... not good! |

Unless you live in China... To the monster hotlinkers I pretty much have this sorted, your days are numbered. When its fully tested, I'll make it public.. :thefinger |

Hotlinking sucks
|
Very nice of you, Mike69.
I clicked the link, saw the text. The video didn't load, so I reloaded the page and got the girl video. Opened the video URL in the media player and saw the elephant (nice!). |
Mike69, interesting stuff and cant wait to hear more :thumbsup
|
Isn't there something called AHL (antihotlinker) that already does this pretty well? ...
|
I tried!
