That villain is General Grievous, the leader of the speratist robot armies. It's an alien (brain, eyes) with the rest of the body (torso, arms, legs) 100% cyborg. I think it's awesome.

We will also see Sidious fight, can't wait.

Looks like one of the insectoid Xindi from ST: Enterprise. Smart move to copy that, we all know how successful that series is.

Can't Lucas think of less obvious names for his characters? General Grevious? Lord Tyrannus? Sidious? All of this appeals to the intellect of a 12 year old!

Thats like if Lt. Ripley's name in "Alien" was Lt. Amazon, or Don Corleone in "The Godfather" would be named Don Murdereone.

Get real, Lucas! Not everyone is 10 years old. At least names like Vader and Skywalker had originality. He has dumbed down his franchise to the limit.

Lucas is a fuckin retard control freak. If he actually let competent people write the screenplays and direct the movies wouldn't be so bad.

Face it A New Hope sucks ass when it comes to character interaction and dialogs. Same with episode 1 and 2. He's a lousy director and he won't admit it.

I read someone a while back about one of the actors signing a contract to do this one (the 3rd one), and apparently the contract stipulated 3 more, anyone heard/remember this?

In addition to your subsequent post, I read that Lucas won't direct these, if they happen, but rather the likes of Spielberg and others would take over directing duties.

wow, if Episode III is coming out in may 2005 i wonder if I'll still be around to see 7,8,9.
