Many of you already know what we have created. Those of you who "do not get it" may feel free to move on to the next web site.

For those of you who are still with us, I am sure we do not need to explain to you what this lifestyle will be like - you already know! Therefore, we invite you to join with us in the creation of this new lifestyle.

Creepy wording on that page.

never gonna happen.
Also, I'm sure someone that pays 44million for a suite is gonna wanna be near a slack jawed yokel that only paid 180K.

sounds like heavens gate all over again.

is another haley's astro coming?

everyone shave your heads, wear the same pants, shoes, shirt, and take the 'refreshments' from your bedside, drink it and take a nap.

I saw a thing on the Discovery Channel about that ship 3 or 4 years ago, it said then that the only way to get any "real estate" on the ship would be to get invited. Awesome idea though.

If you look at the images of the earlier design ideas for the ship, the first one had a rainbow runway.

Do you have any idea the amount of stress and flex that thing would be under? It would destroy itself.

No matter how you slice it there will be times when the front of the ship will hit a swell before the ass end. A structure of that magnitude which looks to be about 3 or 4 times larger than an aircraft carrier which is SOLID and not all just open air levels with golf courses, would bow and flex.

I'm no airline pilot, but something tells me that trying to land a passenger jumbo jet on a surfaces that has a nast bow in it and can gain or lose 5-10 feet of altitude in a few seconds is not the easiest or safest thing to do.

It's different on a carrier where the platform is solid, and not flexing. But that big stupd ship WILL flex. Also, the fighter jets slam into the deck pretty hard. I doubt a passenger jet could handle it.

Even without the airport on top the thing is still to massive for our technology.

The biggest man made structure so far is that Island that the japanese built to land planes on... and that danm thing is sinking. We are just not ready for it yet.

Great idea but not very practical for our current technology! :2 cents:

What redshoe said.

It will never work. :1orglaugh

Yes I've read about it some months ago, I'm not sure it will work :2 cents:

When this ship will be ready ? :)

chodadog 03-14-2004 07:55 AM

I saw a documentary about this thing a few years ago. It was pretty damn interesting. The whole runway thing is a little disturbing though. You would think helicopters would be the safer and more realistic approach.
