You know there's a couple of things I've always wondered maybe somebody can explain.

The bible was written by men, inspired by god. Only the commandments were actually written by god, correct?

The collection of stories that makes up the bible, was written some 80 years or so after the death of Christ. Correct?

Ever have 10 people in a room ... One person tells another something in secret, and it's passed from person to person. When it gets back to you, it's not quite what you originally said. Wouldn't this effect be made worse by adding some 80 years in to the picture?

So, the bible is a collection of stories, with direct quotes from jesus, but they weren't recorded for a long itme?

And this New Testament thing ... Did Jesus get a new publisher or something? Or was god all like "Yeah okay ummm few typos in that first book, better clarify"?

I don't know .. Seems hoaky to me all around.

absolutely, it's the biggest game of telephone ever. things easily get distorted or lost in the interpretation. also the original bible was written in aramaic i believe, a dead language. who's to say they interpretted it right?
