Who owns an AK-47?
 

I got put on hold today, the fucking feds need to take their time with me before they let me buy, the bastards! First time I ever got stuck with the waiting period when trying to buy a gun.

So if you own an AK-47 what model and country do you own?

I own one. Its Romanian made, and I've swapped out a few parts. Put a new stock and handguard on, as well as a scope and a bipod.

I live in washington, there was no waiting period to get the gun - literally walked in and walked out with it, hah.

I do believe there's a waiting period in every state, all 50. However it's random and doesn't always affect everyone, I'm in Texas and the previous 4 guns I've bought I never had to wait, just filled out the paperwork a quick call and I was good to go. But today I was told I would have to wait this ttime. That's nice, I was looking a Romanian myself and going to put a synthetic stock on it. But I was real tempted but a Russian imported by Robinson Arms.

Move to Arizona. They have the best gun laws in the states.

I dont need it for anything, but I enjoy shooting it. I dont hunt - just find shooting enjoyable. And it cost about 300 dollars.

Same here I don't shoot, I just like shooting, going to the range and shit. And I'll have it in case I ever need it for anything else. Can you tell me what brand synthetic stock you used on that?

Romanian AK's run from $250 to $400 depending on the model type and whether it takes hi capacity mags or not and stuff like that. But not $4000. Hell if I had a friend in the military I could have him bring me back one from Iraq for like $30.

I was checking one of those out at the same time today, I liked it but .308 ammo costs an assload more to shoot compared to 7.62.

the romanian ones are cheap but pretty good quality... you can actually get them for less than 300 if you look around... of course its not full auto but i doubt youd qualify for a class III liscense

true... im not really in any rush to get a rifle... i need to wait until i move before i even think about buying anything... but im all about the cheap and reliable stuff... thats why i like makarovs

You cant get a full auto anywhere in the U.S. anymore, unless its a pre-ban gun or you have a class III liscence. Mine is only semi-auto. I've heard the conversion to full auto is pretty easy, but I want to keep mine legal.

I'd never own a gun . I don't want too end up shooting somebody over some adrenaline rush . This can only give you a bad idea ... If I want protection I'l get some dogs . Not guns.
