I'm going to Full Sail University in Aug. Need some info from anyone in FLA.

Hey hey...it's set, I've turned in my application and have been accepted to Full Sail University in FLA.

I've paid my enrollment fee and first months tuition. Now all I need to do is find some good housing down there.

Anyone here that lives in FLA know of some good housing options? Preferabbly a Studio or a 1 Bedroom under $550/month.

Location should be around Winter Park. I've been looking and I've found some good ones, but I'd like some feedback from my GFY'ers...any info would be good! Thanks

Congratulations on attending Fullsail! When I first graduated from high school, they were my #1 pick for being a recording engineer, but things fail through. Plus their tuition was high as hell, probably still is. Try checking out apartments.com :thumbsup

Thanks, yah, no doubt tuition is high..
Just to get my associates will cost me around 34 grand...

I checked out lots of other schools(I'm going into film)... USC, UCLA and NYU..none of them really had the hands on approach as Full Sail does...

Thanks for the apartments.com link!

Full Sail is technically in Winter Park, but not what is really considered Winter Park. So, in other words, don't look for housing that is only in Winter Park....it is more expensive. For cheap apartments in that area there is a complex that we used to live it I'm not sure what the rent runs now, but we had a 2 bedroom for 550 I think. It was a few years back. Named Oakwood Village. Also another one that is close is Sun Key. Look for stuff on University or Goldenrod (those are roads). It is really close to Full Sail. If you have any other questions, I might be able to help you out. Hit me up on ICQ 176501671. Congrats on getting accepted....its a great school. Enjoy Florida!

Full Sail is a nice school, I came very close to going there for computer animation. Shouldn't be too hard to find a decent apt close to the school.. I know there are a few within walking distance.
