... so is that feeling of having your guts slowly carved out with a dull, rusty shard of twisted metal when it's all over ... :1orglaugh

fatal attraction 03-12-2004 11:13 PM

We only live once. And in the end all we are left with is memories...make the most of the time we have! And feel lucky you ever had that feeling that some may never feel! No regrets, just good memories! Never put expectations on a person, and you'll never have a bitter heart. Except them for who they are and what they are able to give, and you'll be able to look back with a smile and a happy memory!

quiet 03-12-2004 11:16 PM

yes, love is worth all the pain it might create in the end. love is all we really have :)

reynold 03-12-2004 11:46 PM

yes. the pain is worth it all.
the deeper the scar in your heart, the deeper you loved.

baddog 03-13-2004 12:01 AM

not worth it, just makes you bitter and non-trusting of the opposite sex

wdsguy 03-13-2004 12:03 AM

If you want to have no regrets in life, then take a chance.

rdunn404 03-13-2004 12:04 AM

It's not like you really have a choice in it though :2 cents:

KRL 03-13-2004 12:06 AM

Sadly yes.

I lost the love of my life and despite all the challenging things in our relationship, I miss her everyday and I haven't found anyone that comes close to all that she had so my heart still has an empty spot.

:(

But I am thankful for all the many beautiful years we did share.

:)

i feel what your saying, but not to quite that extreme.

it sucks to have something so wonderful all fall apart.

i still believe it's worth it though.

pimplink 03-13-2004 12:16 AM

when you inlove, you have to sacrifice everything, just
to make him/her satisfy!

Well having a child with someone really bonds you. It also makes it the hardest type of break up. Cause we're finished as a couple yet we still have a daily relationship as parents together.

Its like chinese water torture to have to interact with someone you loved and still love and still want but can't have any longer. Everytime I see her my heart aches.

fatal attraction 03-15-2004 12:40 AM

Wow! KRL, that's terrible! Made me sad just reading it. I was married for 10 years, and we are still great friends. which is wonderful for our son, but there is no passion there. We lost that when we got married! I was 20 and he was 35 and stopped wanting to have sex on our honeymoon. But, I believe if you truley love someone, it doesn't just go away....ever!

Mr. Marks 03-15-2004 12:51 AM

Yes, it's all worth it. At least you can look back in your life and say that you had good times. It might not have ended the way you wanted it to, but it must have been for the best.

Being in love and staying in love is a great thing. You don't have to give up just because it hasn't worked for you. Be positive, the right one will come your way - especially when you're not looking.

WiredGuy 03-15-2004 12:52 AM

Well, I've never been in love and never really had that many girlfriends or relationships so I can tell you from my standpoint I don't know what I could of had or am missing. Granted I'm not the most interesting person in the world, but it would have been nice to have more relationships.

There's my point of view...

Nope it is not better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Better off not loving at all.
