Microsoft Intellimouse 4.0 WOW !!!

I just got in a nice new Microsoft Intellimouse 4.0 and this thing is beautiful, it now has ergonimic finger grooves, the scroll wheel can now be clicked left or right, it's ultra precise, and my favorite thing about it is that the scroll wheel is ULTRA smooth, no clicks at all, just smooth rolling, aaaaahhh.... how beautiful.

Here's a link if ya wanna check it out -

Hey, that's great to hear, I promise you that you'll LOVE this mouse, I sure do. I'm just sooo amazed by the scroll wheel that I had to start this thread, ha ha ha.

OUCH, where did you get yours from to pay that kind of shipping ? Was it on Ebay, I know over there, they were selling them for a decent price, but would rape ya on the shipping.

Na, go for the wireless one.

I love the one I have. I have the model before this one.

I wouldn't recommend going for a wireless keyboard, but the wireless mouses are awesome. I tried going back to corded recently, but couldn't. I am already spoiled.

:thumbsup

i'm running on a logitech optical cordless right now..

looks a lot better than mine.. but how is the battery life?

my mouse eats a pair of batteries every week. :helpme

Slick 03-12-2004 10:16 PM

I don't now if I could ever use a cordless mouse though, for one, I'm always sitting rite in front of my monitor at my desk and secondly, the corded mice are more precise since it's directly connected with the cord, so for me, I'd rather go this route.

Plus I can spend looooong days and nights on here and not worry about my mouse going dead on me, ha ha.

$31.00!?!?!

I still have my intellimouse from 4 years ago and it was close to $70 then!

I can't wait until computers cost as much as a 12-pack...

Nice find

Ash@phpFX 03-12-2004 10:32 PM

i dont think id get a cordless, id probably lose it, for a laptop it would be cool though

monkeysnap 03-12-2004 10:54 PM

Is the precision better than the older Intellimouse Opticals?

I'm using one right now but have been planning to get a new mouse (a Razor Boomslang) because this Intellimouse Optical is just not precise enough, which is a pain in Photoshop, playing shooters, etc. If the new 4.0 is more precise then I'll pick one up.

FTVGirls 03-12-2004 11:03 PM

the cordless feels too heavy, it actually 'fatigues' the hand after a while. Until they get one that doesnt fill up with two AA batteries, I'll stick to the corded.

Matt_WildCash 03-12-2004 11:05 PM

highly suggest people don't try this mouse especially the wireless one, we got the wireless one and its update refresh rate is slow as hell, really sucks and bad for surfering and designing. Great for people who are slow thinkers they won't notice but if your a fast wizard on the computer stay away.

Also the mouse rollerball in the middle not having any feel its just smooth and it sucks, needs to have the clicks and everyone here at work agreed it sucked shit but have a look at the store before you buy it try the rollerball.

You don't know what you're talking about.

I'm getting that when my current mouse dies, which is soon..

woj 03-12-2004 11:58 PM

So this thing doesn't crash like some of their other products?

You can't go wrong with the rechargeable Logitech MX700

That's what I was going to say....can't compare to the MX700....the back/forward buttons by the thumbs are amazing too...I use it just as much as the scroll wheel :thumbsup

zzgundamnzz 03-13-2004 12:39 AM

Its a good mouse. Got mine in a leather type material combo :thumbsup

The wireless is good. Just buy a pair of Energizer E2s.(the ones you throw in your digital camera)

Now the keyboard is another story. Its a nightmare, looses to many keystrokes. Looks cool though :)
