I just bought the Sony Cybershot DSC-V1.

I have been doing tons of research lately on digital cameras and it all came down to Sony Cybershot DSC-V1.

This is one kick-ass camera. It's a 5.0 megapixel with some awesome features such as MPEG Movie VX Fine, Hologram AF Low Light Laser Focusing Assist, and my personal favorite, the NightShot,

Our cat Traitor was all hanging out watching me getting the camera all set up, so I took my first pic of him:

I've scaled these pics way down to put up on here. You should see the original, it's fuckin amazing, the detail.

Using the NightShot feature, I took some pics of Traitor laying down in a completely dark room:

I love my new toy.

Cool. Maybe you'd know this: When having my camera connected to my computer, can I use my hard drive as the camera's 'memory'? Do you know what I mean?

I'm headin over to eBay to get some accessories right now.

I got the DSC-P92 and its a great camera also. You will be very satisfied with the cybershot, but u will need to buy more memory probably because the 16mb wont be enough

Not a bad camera, but I think image quality of canon s50 is slightly better even though s50 is cheaper.

AMP recommended the S60, I believe - and I almost went for it, but the feature that really sold me on this one was the nightshot feature. I just know I'm gonna have fun with that.

:winkwink:

$499.95

I could have gotten it cheaper online, but I wanted it last night, so we drove to BestBuy and just picked it up.

Nice:thumbsup

Platinumpimp 03-13-2004 12:40 PM

its a good one, I was considering the V1 which has 4x optimal zoom, but I went for the Sony T1, they both have karl zeiss lens.

I think the V1 is slightly better, but the T1 is way smaller :thumbsup

Good choice man

JasonB 03-13-2004 01:34 PM

can you see the screen when you're outdoors?
I have a cheapie cybershot & i cant see shit when I'm outside at all.

Are there any good cameras that have a good backlit screen or something? The old Mavica's used to have it.
