With the multiple attacks in Spain, the recent letter that has allegedly been sent by Al-Qaeda, and warns that an attack on the U.S. is in its final stages of preparation, begs more consideration than previously thought.

Al-Qaeda Says US Strike Near Ready

"'We bring the good news to Muslims of the world that the expected 'Winds of Black Death' strike against America is now in its final stage...90 percent (ready) and God willing near,' the letter said."

On the heels of the multiple attacks waged in Spain, the statements made in the letter become more warranted of consideration.

Although the letter has not yet been authenticated, the Spanish interior minister still holds open the possibility of an extremist Islamic group being behind the attacks.

"In Europe?s worst terror attack and the bloodiest attack ever on Spanish soil, a well coordinated and executed series of bomb explosions hit commuter trains in the capital of Madrid as the morning rush hour was in process. On the eve of Spain?s general election, over 173 people have been killed and hundred more wounded, with estimates of the wounded expected to escalate near the 1000 mark.
A total of 13 bombs sent pieces of the trains flying through the air at nearby houses and left gapping holes and crumbled metal entwined with human body parts. As rescue workers arrived on the scene, many of the seriously wounded were treated where they lay.

JUS has learned the Lions of al-Mufridoon has claimed of responsibility for the attack. Previously unknown, the group is said to be made up of Morrocan, Algerian, and Tunisian operatives, with suspected links to Al-Qaida.

Spain has been warned of their involvement with the "Crusader" army of George Bush and Tony Blair in previous Al-Qaida statements and more recently in both the last statements issued by Osama bin Laden and Dr. Aymen Al-Zawhari, which followed the attack on the Spanish embassy in Iraq.

While law enforcement authorities are casting a wide net of possible suspects in the attack, Spanish government officials were quick to blame ETA, the Basque separatist party that has been a thorn in the side of the Spanish government for the past 25 years. This attack however in not inline with their previous actions.

Spain has been the most vocal supporter of the "War on Terrorism" with troops still inside Afghanistan and currently 1400 soldiers fighting in Iraq. It is thought that if this latest attack is attributed to the war in Iraq that it could collapse president Hosay Marie Aznaar vote in the Sunday?s general elections."

In addition, the Guardian is reporting that the investigation into the explosions in Madrid have found a van with detonators and an Arabic-language tape containing Koranic verses.

I'm spanish and this moments are really hards for us, as in the 11 S, this time a lot of innocents civils were killed. I felt the same sadness for both attacts 11 S and 11 M, for me doesnt matter if the people killed is from here, usa, or any other place in the world... is anybody is killed by a terririts i will feel sadness. I think that the most important is that all us work togheder to eliminate the terrorims in the world. I'm agaisnt death penalty, and i think that kill more people or make war doesnt help. All terrist must go to jail, an stay there years and years.

While I agree that many of us misunderstand the arabs and the part they play in western society, I think its also important to understand what measures we can take politically to safeguard against the few muslims that are causing the problems.

A reasonably free passage into western countries has been offered to muslims across the world as well as to their spouses. This representation of our democracy and freedom is now evidently being used against us.

We should immediately tighten entry into our countries for all 'aliens'. Especially those that may follow a religion/agenda that 'could' or has be used as an excuse to kill innocent people.

For 'aliens' that are already integrated into our societies we should place strict conditions on them and their spouses. These conditions would be designed to counteract and restrict the freedom that draws them here in the first instance.

The freedom to exercise their religious beliefs, conduct business, buy land or any other benefits we have previously offered them would be revoked.

The money needed to fund such acts obviously comes from the capitalist markets in which we live and are in control of. This means that we aren't fighting uneducated village people with dynamite strapped to their chests, but we are fighting those that are capable of funding such acts. These people are living amongst us!

If we practive prejudice against the innocent as well as the guilty, perhaps those that are enjoying life and business based on our freedom and democratic values will pressure those willing to carry out such acts into not doing so. I accept this measure isn't politically correct, but lets try and fight them using their own people as soldiers rather than putting our own necks on the line in some shit hole of a country.
