What's one thing you can't help but buy everytime you go to the grocery store?

I can't help but buy these fucking cheese filled pretzels in the frozen food section that you put in the microwave. They're the shit! What about you, is there anything that you can't help but buy everytime you go to the store?

Rictor 03-12-2004 01:01 PM

I have lots of self control. I avoid most junk food even though I want it. If it's not in my house, I can't eat it.

Digipimp 03-12-2004 01:04 PM

It's not about junk food it's about is there anything you can't help but buy everytime you go.

On-top 03-12-2004 01:04 PM

Dont end up getting junk that I didnt go in there to get originally. Although I'll spend $100 and still end up with no edible food. That's just fucked up.

more boneless skinless chicken breasts. I have a strange fear that the world is going to run out of chickens or something. My freezer has like 45 chicken breasts in it right now. We hardly ever eat chicken so I can't explain why I do the things i do

Since we're talking about food, does anyone know what's
THE BEST bread to make deli style sandwiches? I'm talking about
bread the same quality as Subway or Quiznos bread, I don't care if the bread is sliced or a bun, as long as it's good. All the bread I've tried like Wonderbread, Weber's bread and even Sarah Lee buns are not that good. Anyone have a recipe to make the perfect sandwich comparable to quiznos or a restaurant??? What are the secret ingredients? Everytime I try to make sandwiches at home they suck, I think they must use some secret ingredients at Subway/Quiznos

DreamCumTrue 03-12-2004 02:39 PM

Honey buns, ice cream, soda, milk and cookies.

SykkBoy 03-12-2004 02:43 PM

Pick it up in a bakery. Insist on it made the same day, preferably still warm. Never buy pre-sliced as it starts to dry the moment it is sliced.

Next thing is quality meat. I use a real deli or butcher to slice it to order and avoid pre cut meat, and stay very clear of packaged meat.

Use a quality cheese (again deli) and nothing that is pre packaged and sliced.

Fresh in season veggies.

Then if you insist on quizno's or subway type sandwiches. Get yourself a high grade virgin olive oil, and a vinegar you like. Add mostly fresh herbs to it with the exception of oregano which is better dried.

That should do you.

mastamindz 03-12-2004 02:50 PM

Rice Crackers.
So fucking goood

freeadultcontent 03-12-2004 02:51 PM

I alway buy garlic, cant help it.

Then again I never shop for more than 2 days supply at a time, except for pantry items.

Thanks for the tip. I don't even know if there's a bakery by my house, I usually get everything at Albertsons. I did notice the cheese they use at Subways is better than mine, usually I just buy the individually wrapped slices from Kraft (swiss & american( and packaged meats so that's why it's probably not that good. I've also tried using Italian dressing to emulate that virgin olive oil sauce but I guess the real virgin olive oil is much better. Thanks for the tips.
