a tool to check if your servers are up?
Is there a desktop utitly that checks the uptime of your servers
every xx minutes and alerts me when theyre down? |
I have two mexicans sitting in the datacenter that call me when they go down . Very cheap and reasonable. and they never complain

Better idea is to get a host with a monitoring system this way they are alerted as soon as you go down and can fix the problem, and you can always check your MRTG stats and see any breaks in the graph which would indicate downtime.
Pretty straightforward otherwise check out: http://www.internetseer.com |
