What if your hands stopped functioning today???

We type a lot...a whole lot!

But what if your hands would stop functioning as they used to (RSI for example).
I depend on my webmasterincome 100%.
I dont have insurance and/or retirementfunds. So I geuss if this happened I would suddenly be on welfare... I think I earn about 10 times welfare now...

Did you guys ever wonder about this? DO you have a back up plan???

I don't even like to joke about that stuff... it freaks me out. The loss of income would be the least of your worries.

That is why you should work as hard and as smart as possible today and save as much money as you can... you just never know when your hands will stop working.

disability insurance, it's important to have it. i don't but i'm getting it - seeing some stuff in my family that scared me into it.

i gotta talk to my sister about it, she's had it since she was 30, i think it has to be pretty expensive but if you get unlucky and become disabled at a relatively young age - even if you have a million in the bank now that money will get chewed up fast and then you're sitting in a fucking bleak hospital or whatever for the rest of your life.

I once had a nightmare about that and the next day it turns out, after some experimentation, that I can both type and light cigarettes with my feet.

I'm all good.
