If Kerry gets elected...

What do you think he will do differently then bush against the war on terror?

Will it be a win for Osama?

Veterans Day 03-11-2004 11:33 PM

i cant wait for the kerry bash threads, it will make my day. I hope hes elected:glugglug

Axeman 03-11-2004 11:36 PM

He may pull some of the troops out and try and reduce the ammount being spent to fight the war. Use that money to finance better intellegance and secure our borders better. He wont have to find Bin Laden as Bush will find him in October

Just like Bush doesn't come up with half the shit he does, Kerry won't really change a lot they're doing in the REAL anti-terrorism stuff. I don't mean taking out dictators in Iraq.. but real FBI, CIA, NSA work that actually can prevent stuff like s/11, not distractions from Al Quaeda like Iraq.

Kard63 03-11-2004 11:40 PM

Like most american's I care more about the economy therefore I am voting Kerry. Bush's tax cuts were borderline retarded and Dick Cheney is the most obviously crooked politician of all time. Domestically Kerry should be much better than Bush.

Bush would probably be better internationally but who cares, I'm tired of taking countries over :ak47: and then giving them back. Now if we declared ownership over them it might be different. :thumbsup

exspamr 03-11-2004 11:45 PM

kerry will be too busy getting botox treatments to worry about the war on terror, he will leave everything up to the UN, which is why foreign leaders like him better than bush

Veterans Day 03-11-2004 11:45 PM

I sure hope kerry pulls through, but alas he wont and the bashing will begin. Oh the irony is gonna be great. :glugglug

Yeah Kerry could focus on the economy, but meanwhile osama and his minions will be planning the next attack. We need a pres who is good for both. Not so left and not so right.

foolio 03-11-2004 11:48 PM

Kerry will win --- no need to worry or waste time thinking bout it

Thats not what I am asking. Assume he wins... Will he be good for the war on terror? Or will he ignore it and focus on the economy?

Joetanto 03-11-2004 11:54 PM

i will not vote for him if mccain runs as vp

NoCarrier 03-11-2004 11:55 PM

He won't ignore it.
There will be more funds flowing to the states for homeland security purposes.

Also, a new administration would go a long way towards smoothing things over with our allies and the UN and getting us some much needed help in Iraq.
That would free up a lot of funds and a lot of troops to be used elsewhere.
Also, the war on terror is a global thing, the terrorists aren't just hiding in the US. We'll definitely need the help of other governments to wage that war, and world opinion about the US isn't very good right now because of the actions and attitude of the current administration.

As for Osama, has anyone stopped to think that capturing him might not be such a good idea?

Mr. Marks 03-12-2004 12:13 AM

damn, the picture's gross!

Babagirls 03-12-2004 01:39 AM

Well, they could find him dead in October also..

FlyingIguana 03-12-2004 02:35 AM

why would anyone in this industry want bush back? his next 4 years will be more directed towards internal issues. porn could be the next issue on his radar.

Well I didn't really mean that either.
If we make a martyr out of him or have him in custody there's a very strong possibility that terrorist attacks on our soil would start happening again en masse.

Your second question implies that if we keep Dubya around Osama bin Laden will lose. So far the main losers in the so-called war on terror have been the freedoms of US citizens and we can only hope that there has been some impact on Al Qua'ida's ability to function.

Especially if we buy into the myth that Al Qua'ida has been responsible for every terrorist act and threat since 911, there doesn't seem to be much reason for optimism in that regard.

The US is so fucked up I don't think anyone can help, bring Clinton back!

spanky part 2 03-12-2004 07:21 AM

If I remember correctly Bush was the president when 9-11 happened. But he is the hero, gime a fucking break.
Clinton even warned him about Osama when he left office.

The only reason he wanted to get rid of Saddam was because he was jealous of him. Bush wants a dictatorship of his own. If he gets another 4 years, he will have it.

radical 03-12-2004 07:24 AM

I'm not american but I hope Kerry wins :thumbsup

tony286 03-12-2004 07:24 AM

The war on terror is a nice catch phrase thats all to keep the people scared.

Hopefully he will make massive cuts in the budget for WMD, that do no good against terrorists, and redeploy the money to the CIA for intelligence.

Theres some scary Kool-Aid drinkers on here. There was a ton of terrorist attacks during Clintons 8 years, plus the 911 planning, and plus the inaction of taking care of Bin Laden when they had a chance.

Bush isn't without flaws, but its a little scary how people blindly make guys like Kerry and Clinton into mother thresa or something.

No matter who is president, things don't change that much.

There will be no change. Kerry will continue the rhetoric against various "rogue" nations and we will continue to find reasons to go to war.
